ABAPilot by Crimson Consulting combines a public MIT-licensed MCP connector with a separately licensed ABAP backend. Downloading the connector does not install or license the SAP backend.
- Public connector: inspect its source and MIT licence in the connector repository.
- SAP backend and deployment: contact Crimson Consulting to discuss licensing, installation scope and support for your landscape.
- AI client and model: check your chosen provider’s subscription or API charges separately when planning the total cost.
What to include in a pricing request
Tell us your SAP release and support package if known, the systems and developers you want to include, your preferred AI client, and one workflow you want to evaluate. State whether you need implementation or ongoing support. Do not send passwords, access tokens or confidential source code in the enquiry.

Before connecting your SAP system
ABAPilot uses an MIT-licensed MCP connector outside SAP and a separately licensed ABAP backend installed in your SAP system. Installing the npm connector does not install or license that backend.
For a trial, we review the SAP release and support package, HTTPS access, SAP user permissions and the operations you need. Managed private-cloud environments also require the operator’s installation rules to be checked. This backend installation is not offered for S/4HANA Public Cloud or ABAP Cloud.
